The 9th International Symposium on Space Radiation and Particle Radiotherapy (ISSRPRT 2023) was held online

The 9th International Symposium on Space Radiation and Particle Radiotherapy will be held in Suzhou, China from September 22 to 25, 2023. In order to actively prepare for this conference and coordinate all parties, the online coordination meeting was initiated by the sponsor, School of Radiomedicine and Protection, Soochow University, and the State Key Laboratory of Radiological Medicine and Radiation Protection. This coordination meeting was presided over by Professor Guangming Zhou, communication academician of the International Academy of Astronautics, and attended by Professor Tom K. Hei from Columbia University, Professor Satoshi Tashiro from Hiroshima University, Professor Daohong Zhou from University of Arkansas School of Medicine, Professor Guenther Reitz from German Astronaut Center, Professor Chuanyuan Li from Duke University, Professor Hailong Pei from Soochow University, and James Zhang, Chairman of United Well.

The online coordination meeting further optimized the conference topics and agenda, confirmed the work and achievements from the previous stage, and presented the relevant work outcomes to the participants, such as the specific arrangement of the main venue versus the branch venue, the topics of the reporting session, and specific work matters such as the reporters.  At last, more specific arrangements and deployments were made for the next phase of the work.

Professor Guangming Zhou, moderator of the meeting, said: " The online coordination meeting, which has fully drawn up the opinions of all parties, also has pointed the direction to the preparation of the next stage of the Congress, expecting this Congress to be satisfactorily met. It will be a grand meeting in the field of space radiation and particle radiotherapy worldwide, a highly academic value communication platform, and also set up a wide stage for our country to further strengthen the scientific and technological communication and cooperation internationally.
