LCT-200

LCT-200 is a Micro-CT system for multi-functional scanning of mice, rats and rabbits, performing scanning on the whole body (including bone, fat, blood vessels, whole body organs, etc.) of experimental animals. At the same time, the supporting software of the system is easy to operate and has a high quantitative function.

LCT-200 can automatically identify and measure fat rate, fatty liver, subcutaneous fat and visceral fat, measuring the quantitative information of muscle mass, fat mass and average CT value. By comparing the CT values of spleen (muscle), visceral fat (fat) and liver, the CT values of different degrees of fatty liver and the ratio of fat in liver are obtained. LCT-200 has a built-in standard operation method for measuring brown fat, which can detect the distribution and quantitative volume of brown fat in vivo. This technology has been patented in Europe and the United States, and is safer than the method using isotope.

The flat beam scanning +Scout technology can save scanning time and reduce radiation dose by selecting the scanning area. The ordinary CT scanning dose for small animals is easy to cause great damage to animals, which is not conducive to long-term observation. However, the radiation dose of LCT200 is less than 10mGy, and it is only aimed at the scanning area, and will not radiate other parts of animals. The effective scanning field of view of LCT-200 is 300mm (axial) at most. The system provides four kinds of animal beds (24mm, 48mm, 80mm and 120mm in diameter) suitable for different trial requirements, where bones, teeth, various in vitro tissues and small living animals can be placed. In this way,  the overall scanning of test rats, mice and limb ends of test rabbits or small rabbits can be realized. At the same time, the system uses advanced cone-beam and fan-beam scanning modes together with highly sensitive multi-row detectors to suppress axial distortion.
